Since joining Perry Dean in 2004, Ryan has amassed a diverse portfolio of projects that vary dramatically in size, complexity and context. His experience includes libraries, student housing, performing arts facilities, master planning, classroom buildings, museums, courthouses and private residences. This variation has allowed for the exploration and development of design at multiple scales, and provides him with valuable experience working with a wide range of constituents. In addition to practice, Ryan also teaches architecture as adjunct faculty at Northeastern University, where he received his Bachelor of Science. He holds a Master of Architecture (with Distinction) from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor. Ryan is registered architect in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Todd joined the Perry Dean team in 2007, and has a great deal of experience with complex projects for distinguished college and university clients. Todd's experience in all phases of a project, from programming and conceptual design to oversight of construction, provides him with a critical understanding of the implications for the built project. With his current professional focus on designing learning environments and past experience, the importance of inspiring teaching and learning spaces has remained of utmost importance to Todd. This has been influenced by his previous career as a residential faculty member (teaching Spanish) at a boarding high school, and his master's degree thesis project exploring innovative academic spaces. Beyond the office, Todd has served as an adjunct faculty member of the Boston Architectural College since 2008. Todd graduated from Middlebury College with a dual B.A. in Psychology and Spanish, and holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.

Linda is an architect and researcher who combines a passion for narrative and critical practice within the details of design. She is versatile, having worked on a broad spectrum of typologies ranging from academic and cultural spaces to residential, commercial, and continuing care facilities -- both under the larger umbrella of architecture, and in the focused capacity of interior design.

With a vested interest in the value of interdisciplinary design and practice, she works closely and collaboratively with internal and consultant teams to deliver projects that thoughtfully consider the integration of systems; and which address not only programmatic requirements, but also user experience and perception.

To explore an active curiosity in the communicative capacity of architecture, as well as its dynamic social facets and cultural meanings, she occasionally writes; and has been published in On Site Review, MAS Context, and most recently, co-edited the inaugural issue of the publication PAIRS.

Linda received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Masters Degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois-Chicago, as well as a Master’s in Design Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Mike worked at PDR from 2008 to 2010 and rejoined the team in 2018. His decade-plus of architectural experience has had a focus on educational projects: public, independent, and international K-12 schools, as well as higher education institutions. While earning his Bachelor of Architecture at Roger Williams University he spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Mike’s appetite for learning and design extends to teaching at the Boston Architectural College. He led design studios from 2011-2019 and continues to regularly participate in the portfolio review process and volunteer as a guest critic. Recently, with PDR, he worked on the College of the Holy Cross’s the Prior Performing Arts Center.

Hannah joined PDR in 2018 after earning her Master of Architecture from Northeastern University. Hannah primarily works on academic buildings, including the Worcester Dining Commons at the University of Massachusetts’ Amherst campus, the Dimond Library Feasibility Study for the University of New Hampshire, and the MIT Music Building. Hannah efficiently uses communication and to build relationships with clients. She is passionate about context-specific and vernacular architecture, ensuring projects’ longevity, and creative problem-solving. Besides the greater Boston area, Hannah has studied in Germany and Iceland.

Pat joined PDR as an intern in 2015 and stayed on after the completion of his Master of Architecture from Northeastern University. His recent experience is in performing arts buildings and academic libraries, including the Prior Performing Arts Center at the College of the Holy Cross and Lutnick Library at Haverford College. Pat specializes in BIM software and digital modeling and is interested in the design and detailing of enduring institutional buildings.

Jim Kelly-Rand has been with Perry Dean for over 6 years working on a number of award winning PDR projects. He has extensive experience in a wide range of institutional building types. His most recent projects with PDR include, the Prior Performing Arts Center at Holy Cross, the Lutnick Library at Haverford College and the Gustafson Administration building at SNHU. He has over 40 years of construction and design experience and continues to provide technical assistance on PDR projects.

Britt approaches projects with joy, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for the poetic narrative between concept, details, and experience. Having worked on projects spanning a variety of scales and disciplines, her enthusiasm for design is fueled by a curiosity about the way seemingly disconnected experiences and expertise can enlighten and inform one another. Her portfolio reflects this philosophy, having contributed to projects of varying scales and levels of complexity, including custom residential, higher education, planning, and 3D visualization.

Britt received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. She received a Master's degree in Architecture from Boston Architectural College, where she was the recipient of both Commendations and the Edwin T. Steffian Centennial Thesis Award for her thesis entitled, "The Harbor Baths." Her studio work has been exhibited at both the BAC and the Boston Society of Architects. Since graduating, Britt has become a recurring thesis critic at the BAC.

She returned to PDR in 2023, having previously been part of the team from 2015-2016.

Brian Elyo has over 20 years experience in design and construction, specializing in education, ecumenical design and planning. Brian helps guide clients through all aspects of programming and design, coordination and construction administration. He is also a staunch advocate for public art. When he lived in Colorado, he volunteered time and expertise to numerous community arts organizations including being on the founding board of the Knob Hill Urban Arts District. His passion for design, community planning and detailing is infectious and can help inspire greater sum solutions toward successful projects.

Drew joined PDR in 2023 after working for a sustainably-focused residential firm for four years. He assists PDR in the pursuit of ILFI- and LEED-certified projects, recognizing architecture's prerogative for environmental and social responsibility. His role at PDR spans from locally-sensitive early design studies through careful detailing of lasting interior finishes. Drew is enthusiastic about both lifelong learning and teaching and continues to teach BIM courses and design studios at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where he received a Bachelor of Arts and Master's Degree in Architecture. He is also currently pursuing architectural licensure, so that he may further impact the profession's dedication to the environment.

Joey joined PDR in 2023 after earning his Master’s in Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology. His thesis project addressed the affordable housing crisis by creating a mixed use site to support and shelter the growing unhoused population in Boston. Joey is passionate about spaces designed through a social lens, and hopes to help create equitable and accessible architecture.

Patty DeMild joined PDR in 2021 in the Accounting Department. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts with a concentration in Business Management. She has over 30 years experience in Accounting-Finance. During any given week, she touches every aspect of the firm’s finances, including project accounting, payroll, billing, accounts receivable, external audits and banking, and manages the business insurances and human resources and benefits.

Rafia joined PDR's marketing team in 2023 after working as a freelance creative designer. She completed her education at Parsons School of Design in 2021 with a degree in communication design. Rafia aims to elevate visual language through her passion for communicating visual solutions with an emphasis on print and digital marketing and design.
